Launched about a year ago, to plenty of questions and criticism, the .xxx domain, operated by ICM Registry, has evolved into a totally unusual offering in the domain name space, with a handful of unique characteristics and what is looking more and more like a model to be emulated by the new generic TLDs that will be arriving in the next year or two.
